Water Canopy and Electromagnetic Shielding

Decreasing Life Spans

Q. This past Sunday I explained to the SS Class the difference between Life Span and Generation Span. One question which I had no answer for was, if the Bible, I think in Psalm, states we have 70 years, or if lucky, 80 years, does it state in the Bible why after the Flood, if people like Abraham, Isaac, etc, lived into their 100’s…why did the age fall from that span back to the 70 or 80 range?

A. Life spans had approached nearly 1000 years before the flood, but afterward became progressively shorter until they stabilized at 70 years, as indicated by Psalm 90:10. Some believe this is partially due to the water vapor shield that originally surrounded the Earth (Gen. 1:6-8) but collapsed at the time of the flood in order to provide some of the water necessary. They say this canopy deflected harmful rays from outer space that have a life shortening effect. As an example, Noah’s son Shem outlived 8 of the first nine 9 post flood generations, including Abraham’s. Today the Earth’s electromagnetic field performs a similar function, though not as well.

Isaiah 65:20 hints of the return of long life spans to Earth during the Millennium. Perhaps during the Earth’s restoration at the time of the 2nd Coming (Matt. 19:28) this water vapor canopy will be restored.

The Water Vapor Canopy

Q. Thank you so much and God bless you for all the hard work you do with your site. It is an indispensable resource for me as a new believer. I’ve recently undertaken a “Bible in a Year” study program and I started in Genesis. I have some questions:

First, when in the creation story, the “waters above and waters below” are mentioned, what does this mean?

Also, how did the members of Adam’s line live so long, some over 900 years? Was this due to their physical proximity to God? Thanks in advance and I can’t wait for the return of our Lord!

A. When God separated the waters above from the waters below (Genesis 1:6-8) He was using vaporized water to create a canopy around the planet at the outer edge of our atmosphere to ward off harmful cosmic rays. This is why the aging process was only about 1/10th of its current speed permitting the long life spans in Genesis. During the flood He allowed the canopy to collapse bringing Earth its first rainfall and first bad weather. Reading the genealogies in Genesis shows that average lifespans got progressively shorter after the flood. For example Abraham lived only 175 years, whereas Noah who died at age 900 lived to see Abraham’s 50th birthday and Noah’s son Shem actually out lived Abraham even though he was born 10 generations earlier.

Today the Earth’s magnetic field performs a similar function, keeping lifespans relatively stable although far below the times before the flood. In the Millennium lifespans will again increase, suggesting the re-appearance of the water vapor canopy.

The Time before The Flood

With all this war stuff going on I picked up my old high school bible and started to read all the end times things.

This really got me reading a lot so I decided to start at the beginning now that I have been through the end. but I wonder how Adam and Eve who had all sons. How did their sons have children and with what women?

And then If Noah took himself and his sons and of course all those animals how did his sons have kids as I didn’t read about any women coming with them on the ark?

And how did those folks live hundreds of years like that? I hope these aren’t stupid questions but the end times makes much more sense to me than the beginning times so far.

Thanks in advance for your time and God bless. I like this site and have saved it to my favorites so I can read more here. Thank you for this site.

A. Genesis 5:4 says that Adam lived for 800 years and had other sons and daughters besides Cain, Abel, and Seth. Through out Genesis 5, the other patriarchs are all described as having sons and daughters other than those named in the narrative. The earliest families involved the marriage of sisters to their brothers, and later of cousins to each other.

Genesis 7:13 says that when Noah and their 3 sons entered the Ark, their wives entered with them.

The reason that early humans lived so long is that when God created the Earth, He put a water vapor barrier around the Earth in the upper atmosphere, (Genesis 1:6-7) that kept the most harmful ultra violet rays from entering our atmosphere and contaminating the cellular regeneration process. This allowed the body’s cells to replenish themselves for much longer periods of time.

At the time of the Great Flood the water vapor barrier collapsed onto Earth (Genesis 7:11). Together with the fountains of the deep and the rain that fell, enough water was produced to cover the entire Earth.

After the flood, the absence of this barrier caused lifespans to be shortened dramatically, allowing Shem, one of Noah’s sons, to out live 9 of the first 10 generations born after the flood. Life spans continued to shorten until finally stabilizing at around 70 years, less than 1/10th of their original duration.
